Technology

BalticRAD has the most advanced radiology imaging technology in the Baltic region. Radiological data is transferred to the company's PACS servers using a secure channel, ensuring the security of personal data. Reception of images from smaller institutions that may not have their own Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS), as well as individual customers, is done using a secure Web based DICOM exchange server. BalticRAD guarantees support of communication with any type of PACS system.

Our team uses a state of the art PACS, which is DICOM 3.0 compliant and supports all types of modalities. The PACS is tied to a customized Radiology Information System (RIS) and a separate 3D image modeling server.  The software packages allow for quick and fluent data flow from clients to radiologists as well as engineers.

The 3D medical image segmentation system, processes image that come from CT, MRI, microCT, CBCT, Ultrasound, Confocal Microscopy, and allows for the production of highly accurate 3D models of a patient’s anatomy. The generated patient-specific models allow for a variety of engineering applications such as the design of custom made implants, patient specific instruments, or patient specific anatomical models. The 3D models can be exported with anatomical landmark points into various formats for use with other 3rd party software packages such as CAD or FEA, as well as statistical processing.

Medical Image Segmentation for Anatomy Engineering

Our team uses FDA and ISO 13485 approved software for medical image processing.  The software is used for segmentation of 3D medical images (coming from CT, MRI, microCT, CBCT, Ultrasound, Confocal Microscopy) producing highly accurate 3D model outputs of a patient’s anatomy. The generated patient-specific models can then be used for a variety of engineering applications such as the designs of custom made implants, patient specific instruments, or patient specific anatomical models. The 3D models can be exported with anatomical landmark points into the required format for use with the customer’s preferred 3rd party software packages such as CAD or FEA, as well as statistical processing.
